How it works
​
When it comes to plumbing for a kitchen, bathroom or laundry renovation, work is usually carried out in three stages.
​
Disconnections
​
During the first stage of work all plumbing fixtures are disconnected from water and drainage, water supplies are capped off and demolition can begin.
This is also a good time to discuss the plans and details for the next stage of the work.
Rough In
​
During the rough-in stage, all existing plumbing and drainage is first checked over. Any changes to pipework are now made to suit a new room layout or specific requirements.
This is usually completed before the walls are sheeted and any tiling, or cabinetry work begins.
Fit Out
​
The third and final stage for plumbing in a renovation is the fit-out.
A fit-out is when all plumbing tapware and fixtures are installed and connected to water and drainage.
In the case of a kitchen renovation, any gas appliances will also be installed at this time.
Everything installed in the fit-out is then quality checked and commissioned for use.
